video killed the blogger (star?)

leave a comment »

OK… so I’ve been extremely busy lately. My wife bought me a new camera (Canon T2i for you geeks out there) and I’m slowly building up an amature photography/videography studio. So, needless to say, I have a lot on my plate. I’m also behind on posting the Mosaic videos up here, so the next couple days will be spent on catching that up. Hopefully, things will be smooth sailing come next week.

Writer’s Block Continues

with one comment

At least for this blog, anyway. I mean, I’m not having that much trouble with my new screenplay. Even still, that’s going fairly slow.

You see… this entry is starting to suck already. How many people care about that?

I’m sure a few of you are wondering why I am not writing about the ten topics I posted last entry. That’s because only three people voted. I need more votes than that.

OK… this entry really is going absolutely nowhere.

Oh yeah, I’m a little sick to boot. Congestion and chest/back pain. I woke up this morning and thought I was having a heart attack or something. Come to find out, it was only a chest cold.

OK… I’m done. If you have read this, God bless you.

I have writer’s block

with one comment

So…. yeah, I don’t know what to write right now. Mainly, because I have a lot I’m thinking about. Photos to take. Video projects to work on. A screenplay I’m writing. A dog I have to care for…

You get the idea.

So, to help me out, I went to http://linkbaitgenerator.com, hoping to get an idea for a blog entry. It didn’t help, but the ideas sure were funny/weird/interesting. I figured I’d post the next ten entries they generate. You guys pick the best one, and that will be the subject for the next entry.

Sound fun?

Here we go:

1. 8 reasons billionaires can cause suicidal fantasies

2. 10 ways people have gotten rich exploiting prison rape (what the…. – A.D.)

3. 8 ways Wall Street has been involved in political scandals

4. The 5 best hot women who are incredibly stupid of all time

5. 6 Twitter conspiracy theories that might actually be true

6. 10 ways men can help you get a date

7. 8 ways men try using the large hadron collider to get laid (again… where did this come from? – A.D.)

8. 5 insane but true things about hedge funds

9. Mel Gibson’s secret occult interests

10. If heroin had a love child with a unicorn it would look like this

OK, guys… vote away. I have no clue what’s gonna happen next, but leave a message here, on my facebook, on my twitter, you name it.

Random Thoughts (6)

- I’ve had a serious urge to watch Groundhog Day lately. I finally broke down and bought it.

- I also bought 21, Reservoir Dogs, and Rent. Guess which one is for my wife.

- I also just finished up Living Dead in Dallas. I hate to admit it, but I’m addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse novels now, even though I’m still thinking the TV series (True Blood, of course) is better.

- I also hear that Jonny Lee Miller is joining the cast of Dexter. That should actually be pretty cool.

- For the record, I’m a season behind on that show, but I already know what happened on the season finale. To say I’m not please is an understatement.

- I have to say, Blue is a pretty cool dog. Yes, he’s rambunctious. Yes, he chews and poops on everything (OK… not everything. That would be gross). But, when he’s finished, he usually just hangs out on the sofa and chills.

- Speaking of Blue, I want him to learn this. I guess I’m gonna need to learn patience.

I forgot to post my sermon bumpers. The first one is on swearing, in which I preached:

Did I just unleash something…?

OK… so if you have been on my Facebook today, you have seen that I posted a pic of Blue up. If you have not seen him, he’s a cutie. Go check him out.

But I must admit, he’s wearing me out. The rottweiler/malimute mix gives him wayyyy too much energy and he’s always wanting attention. I know this is normal, and I wish I could give him more (don’t get me wrong, between Angela and I, he’s spoiled rotten), but after a long hard day of work and other things, he’s exhausting.

Thankfully, he’s asleep right now.

Anyway, to cure my sleepiness, I went to the shoppette on base and found this:

Now, I’m an energy drink kind of guy (maybe I should lay off of them, but they are actually pretty good), but when I picked up the can and saw that it had nitrogenated water in it… I kind of freaked out. Then I got intrigued.

Then I bought it.

I swear, when I opened the lid, some kind of smoky/steamy vapor came out of it.

I really didn’t know what to expect, but it kind of tasted like liquid lime flavored dippin’ dots. Packed with energy.

Go figure.

A funny thing happened on the way home…

leave a comment »

A cool thing about my job is that my wife can call me. This, of course, is what she did… with a grocery list (she made chicken parmesan, by the way… excellent cook that she is…) So, after work, I headed to Wal-Mart.

Low and behold, someone is out in the parking lot giving away free puppies.

Now, here’s the deal with me: I’m not an animal lover. I really don’t get attached to creatures that have four legs and wag their tail.

But I have to admit that these puppies were just too darn cute.

My wife and I have been talking about adding a dog to our little family (I was against it for a while, but see aforementioned sentence), so I called her up and asked her if she wanted a puppie.

Of course… she said “yes.”

He’s now sitting at my feet.

We named him “Blue.”

A few updates

 feeling: tired

reading: living dead in dallas by Charlaine Harris

special note: this picture has nothing to do with this blog… it’s just random humor.

So… yes, I know. My blog entries are slipping. I usually try and do a blog entry every other day, but sometimes there’s a five day gap (like this time around). I’ll try not to let that happen again. I have been extremely busy, though. For example:

1. I saw The Karate Kid. Best. Remake. Ever.

2. I updated my website. Why? Because…

3. I deleted my MySpace account. I mean, really… who needs MySpace anymore?

4. I have finished “Dunking Booth!” I will start submitting it to film festivals (hopefully next week) and then I’ll post it online.

Sorry so short and sweet, but I have cleaning to do. It’s not like I can waste all day on the internet…
